For more than three thousand years before modern medicine started, Acupuncture/Moxa/Herbs/Body Work was the main stream medical modality for Chinese people's wellness. Acupuncture relies on the painless but strategic placement of tiny needles into a "grid-like" pattern that spans the body, from head to toe. The needles are used to stimulate certain key "energy points" believed to regulate spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical balance. Chinese Herbs includes herbs effective for multiple diseases and are mostly responsible for maintaining and restoring the body balance. Most of herbs have no unfavorable side-effects.

We are very proud that our facility happens to be in the same location of former Washington Acupuncture Center which started in 1972 and was the first acupuncture clinic in the united states.

We are located inside golden triangle of DC,  just a short walk from Farragut West and North metro stations. We are also close to the George Washington University Hospital, local Fertility & IVF Centers and laboratories.

With an atmosphere that is aesthetically pleasing and sensitive to patient needs, our four treatment rooms provide individual privacy and comfort while receiving holistic treatment.

Our staff of acupuncturists and administrators are well-known for their dedicated services to the mission of helping people recover, or become parents, and also for the compassion and care with which the help is provided.

Journal Complementary Therapies in Medicine, women receiving Chinese herbal medicine treatments were more likely to get pregnant within a four-month period than those receiving conventional Western medical fertility drug treatment or IVF. The findings also suggested that the quality of the menstrual cycle - a key component in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis -- appears to be crucial to the successful treatment of female infertility. Infertility is generally defined as an inability to conceive after a year or more of regular sexual activity without using birth control.

There is a long recorded history of Chinese herbs being used in the treatment of infertility. In fact, records indicating herbal treatment of infertility and miscarriage date back to 200 A.D., including mention of formulas that are still used for those same purposes today.
