Menstrual Disorders: Irregular and Missed Menstrual Periods Image

The menstrual cycle disorders consist of irregularities on cycle, bleeding days, bleeding amount, color, quality (dense, light, clotting, etc), smell. Most often are: Menstrual coming ahead, coming late, or irregular, bleeding too much, too less, too long, bleeding in the mid of cycle, or no cycle. Pains can be dysmenorrhea, headache, body pain, diarrhea, sores, fever, etc.

A woman's body usually prepares for pregnancy about every 28 days. Her cycle begins on the first day of bleeding and continues to the first day of the next menstrual period.

Every woman's body is unique. For some, a cycle is as short as 21 days or as long as 35 days, and for some women, each cycle is different from the previous. What is irregular for one woman may be normal for another based on her condition.

Regarding to the menstrual cycle irregularity, western and chinese medicine can all implement ways to normalize the period. Chinese medicine can also address causes by pattern differentiation. Most to address are organs of Heart, Kidney, Spleen, Liver and Qi and Blood irregularities.
